Privacy policy

Last updated 14 October 2026

Introvert's Bible is run by MarcTech Pty Ltd in Australia. It’s built so that as little as possible leaves your device. This policy explains exactly what does, why, and what we do with it. It covers the website at https://introverts-bible.vercel.app and the iPhone and Android apps.

The short version

  • There’s no account and no sign-in.
  • Your plans, events, notes on people, reflections and saved lines stay on your device.
  • When you ask for a plan, the event details you type are sent to our server and to Anthropic (the company behind Claude) to write it. We don’t keep them afterwards.
  • No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, and we never sell your data.

What stays on your device

Everything you keep in Introvert's Bible is stored only on the device you use: in your browser’s local storage on the website, and in the app’s private storage on iPhone and Android. That includes:

  • your events and their plans, and any recent-news talking points;
  • your notes on how an event went;
  • people you add, what you noted about them and your follow-up messages;
  • lines you save to your library;
  • your remembered interests and things to avoid, and your settings.

We can’t see any of this. It’s included in your phone’s normal backups (such as iCloud or Google backups), under your own account with Apple or Google. You can export a backup file and import it on another device from Settings, and you can delete everything at any time from Settings. Uninstalling the app, or clearing your browser’s site data, also removes it.

What we send to create a plan

When you tap to build a plan, the details you entered are sent over an encrypted connection to our server: the kind of event, your goal, your social battery and comfort level, the description of the event, and your interests and things to avoid (if you added them). The time of the event, your saved events and your notes on people are not sent.

Our server passes these details to Anthropic’s Claude API, which writes your plan and searches the web for recent news you could mention. Anthropic acts as our service provider. According to Anthropic’s commercial terms, it does not use this data to train its models, and it may keep API inputs and outputs for a limited period for trust and safety purposes. You can read Anthropic’s privacy policy.

We don’t store your event details or the plan on our servers once the plan has been returned to you. Please don’t include sensitive information, such as health details, in the event description.

Fair-use limits

To keep the service free and fair, each install has a daily limit on new plans. To apply it, the app creates a random install ID and sends it with each request. It isn’t linked to your name, email, phone number or any advertising identifier. We keep a count of requests per install ID for each day, and those counts are deleted within two days.

Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes your IP address to deliver the service, protect it from abuse and apply rate limits.

Reports and support messages

If you report a problem with a plan, the report includes your reason, any comment you add, the event details you entered and the plan itself, so we can see what went wrong. If you contact us through the support page, we receive your message and, if you choose to give it, your email address. These are stored with the install ID so we can review them and improve Introvert's Bible. We keep them for up to 12 months and then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner.

Analytics (website only)

The website uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views in aggregate. It’s designed for privacy: it doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t track you across websites. The iPhone and Android apps don’t use analytics.

We don’t use advertising, cookies for tracking, or tracking across other companies’ apps and websites.

Reminders

In the apps, reminders before and after an event are local notifications, scheduled on your device by your phone’s operating system. No push notification server is involved, and you can turn reminders off in Settings or in your phone’s settings.

Who we share data with

We only share data with the providers that run the service:

  • Anthropic, to write plans and research recent news;
  • Vercel, which hosts our website and server;
  • Upstash, which stores daily usage counts, reports and support messages for us.

These providers are based in, or process data in, the United States and other countries. We rely on their contractual commitments to protect it. We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we only disclose it to others if the law requires us to.

Children

Introvert's Bible is not directed to children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Most of your data is on your device and under your control: you can view, change, export or delete it in the app. For anything we hold, such as a report or support message, you can ask to access, correct or delete it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988. If you’re in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have rights under the GDPR, including to object to processing and to complain to your local data protection authority. In Australia, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes

If we change how Introvert's Bible handles data, we’ll update this policy and the date above. For significant changes, we’ll let you know in the app.
